I have very oily skin, with acne and pitted scars.. I was wondering if I should use a primer before I apply Bare Escentuals ( which I have yet to use )

The Bare Escentuals works very well on oily skin and a primer isn't really necessary, however I would try using the skin rev'er upper by the bare escentuals - - if you get a starter kit at Nordstroms it comes with everything you will need -- including the "primer" if you find that you skin still feels a little oily, you can use the mineral veil (also in the kit) under AND over your foundation!

How good is bare escentuals? Does it really considering that there no foundation? I have skin that breaks out, and I have a hard time believing that it will cover that up. Also, is the mineral makeup that you can get at drugstores and Walmart the same. Or do they not work near as well. Thanks

for those who have tried bare escentuals. did your complexion actually improve? if so, how long did it take? and did it cause breakouts at first? did they clear up after your face got used to the change in makeup?

i am a longtime bare escentuals user. my skin is dry, and ultra sensitive, this is the only brand, that never once made me break out, it didn't irritate my skin at all. in fact, it has actually improved the quality of my skin a lot over the years. it made me look better, as well as younger, immediately. my skin started getting better and more even after about one month. this is the absolute best make-up i've found in many years. it stays on through 12 hour shifts, in heat & humidity. it looks & feels completely natural, it also doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles, so it makes me look years younger. the bare mineral brushes last me several years, with proper care. the starter kit (60.00) includes all the brushes needed, 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, glee, and the how-to dve. this kit lasts 2-3 months. the full size foundation (25.00) & mineral veil(19.00) last me about one year.

On Ebay there are tons of people who sell Bare Escentuals and I was just wondering how they do that. I would like to sell it, also.

I've bought off ebay and in the stores and if they are bootlegs from China they are just as good :-). You probably need to get a resale number/business license from your state so you can buy at wholesale prices, or just search online for a company that you can be a rep for (like an Avon lady!). The store markup is always double or triple, so that may be how the ebayers are able to sell at such low prices (just a tad above wholesale but high volume).
